Compressor Layout and Controls

English

Compressors are equipment in the class of pressure vessels that pressurize the air they take from outside and put it into use in production.  Their placement and use in the premises require special precautions.  Choosing capacities above the need will cause unnecessary investment and energy costs, so they should be carefully calculated and selected.

Compressors should be separated from the working area and placed in a special explosion-proof room.

The room should have top and bottom ventilation and should be free of dust for a safe and long-lasting operation.

Taking the air tank outside is a recommended precaution as it will minimize the explosion effect that may occur in the event of an accident.

At least 100 cm distance should be left between each piece of equipment (air tank, compressor, etc.) and walls.

Compressors must have Turkish User Manual, EU Declaration of Conformity and CE mark.

Instructions for use should be visible or hung on the wall.

Periodic checks should be made once a year.

There should not be any flammable, combustible, explosive and unnecessary materials in the compressor rooms.

Compressor and its parts must be fixed to the ground in such a way that they do not create the danger of vibration and falling.

Vibration and sound isolators are recommended as they will reduce noise.

There should be a residual current relay in the electrical panel and the body should be grounded.

The safety valve should be directly connected to the air tank, and there should be no obstacles to interrupt the connection between the tank and the safety valve.
